Yela Ziswiler, Ball State, Sophomore, Defender
Yela Ziswiler scored two goals of her own and led a Ball State defensive effort that allowed just one goal in 200 minutes on the road last week. The sophomore center back tallied both goals in Ball State’s 2-1 victory Thursday at Buffalo as the Cardinals clinched their third straight MAC West Division championship. She notched the first one on a rebound after a corner kick to give BSU a halftime lead. Buffalo tied the game on a penalty kick in the second half, but Ziswiler answered back less than two minutes later when she headed home another BSU corner in the 79th minute for the game-winner.
