Sam Kambol, Ball State, Sophomore, Forward
Sam Kambol scored Ball State’s first goal of the season in Friday’s season-opening victory over Fort Wayne. Her tally came just 13 minutes in and proved to be the game-winner. The sophomore forward nearly gave the Cardinals’ a second-half lead Sunday at No. 18 Notre Dame, but her rocket from the top of the box was deflected away at the last second by the outstretched Irish keeper. The 2016 MAC All-Freshman Team selection led Ball State for the week with four shots.
