Lexi Pelafas, Central Michigan, Sophomore, Forward
Sophomore forward Lexi Pelafas equaled her goal total of a year ago, a rookie season in which she was named to the All-MAC Freshman Team, in the first weekend of the 2016 campaign, leading Central Michigan to its first 2-0 start since 2012. Pelafas scored four of CMU’s five goals, including both game winners. On Friday versus Duquesne, a College Cup participant a year ago, Pelafas accounted for both Chippewa goals, scoring in the 42nd and 78th minutes. On Sunday at Robert Morris, Pelafas came through again for CMU, scoring twice in the second half.
