MAC Men’s Basketball East Division Player of the Week
Jaylin Walker, Kent State, Guard
Sophomore, Detroit, Mich.
Walker led the way in the scoring column, with 24 points on 50 percent shooting. He also pulled down seven rebounds, one shy of his career-high. Walker had several key buckets, and scored his last eight points in the final 2:30 of the game, much of which was played in within a possession. Walker scored two fast break buckets in the final 35 seconds that iced the contest. Defensively, Walker was crucial in holding Texas to 58 points.
