CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Tuesday the Mid-American Conference announced the 2020-21 Player, Coach and Freshman of the Year, as voted by the head coaches, of the Mid-American Conference.
The conference office also released the 2020-21 All-MAC Teams, All-Freshman Team, All-Defensive Team, Defensive Player of the Year and Sixth Player of the Year awards.
Ohio guard Cece Hooks received multiple top honors being named the 2021 MAC Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, earning a spot on the All-MAC First Team, and All-Defensive Team. The senior from Dayton, Ohio put together one of the most impressive seasons in Ohio women’s program history, averaging just over 26 points per game which ranks 3rd in the NCAA and first overall in the MAC.
