CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2016 Men’s Golf Academic All-MAC team on Thursday. A total of 23 student-athletes were named to this year’s team.
Miami led the conference with four student-athletes selected to the 2016 squad. Daniel Schwarz turned in the highest GPA on the team with a 3.99. The senior is a finance major at Miami.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
