The MAC was recognized with two students named to the 2015 Walter Camp All-America Second Team as Northern Illinois defensive back Shawun Lurry and UMass senior wide receiver Tajae Sharpe were honored.
Lurry's nine interceptions lead the nation and the sophomore has made 41 tackles and broken up a team-leading 14 passes. His average of 1.8 passes defended per game also lead the country as he has a pass break up or interception in 11 of NIU's 13 games. The Florida native has broken the school record for interception return yards in a season with 273 and his nine interceptions are a modern era record.
