LOUISVILLE, Ky. -The Lancers knew this would be a difficult road trip, with the reigning Mid-American Conference champion Miami (Ohio) and a top-five team in Louisville awaiting them. However, despite playing a second game in as many days, Longwood's resiliency and heart were both on display again.
The Longwood field hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to No. 5 Louisville on Saturday afternoon. Despite trailing entering the final quarter, Longwood responded by scoring two fourth quarter goals for the second straight game as they continue to battle through the final whistle.
