CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green State University gymnast Lauren Feely was named Mid-American Conference Female Scholar Athlete of the Week for her performance last weekend against Alaska Anchorage. Feely who holds a 4.000 grade point average in inclusive early childhood and hails from Gurnee, Ill.
Feely competed in the all-around competition last Saturday to open BGSU's home schedule, helping her team to a victory over the Seawolves. The junior earned a 38.500 in all-around, placing first in the event. Feely also took first place on vault with a season-high 9.800. Her highest score of the night came on floor exercise with another season-best of 9.
