Sophomore Caley McGinty led the Flashes over the weekend at the Valspar Invitational. McGinty finished tied for 11th at 212 (-4) after posting rounds of 71-71-70. In the final round, she went 16 holes for par or less and fired four birdies. She led the team with 10 total birdies in the tournament and led the tournament on par-3 holes at (-3). The Akron Zips women's golf team was back on the course on Monday and Tuesday, March 15-16, at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club's South Course as freshman Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio) led the Zips with a 229 (+16) showing.
