Kent State Wins Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C.- Caley McGinty continued her historic play by notching a career-low in 54-hole tournament score and take individual honors as she led the Kent State women's golf team to a win at the Clemson Invitational on Sunday at The Reserve Golf Course.

The Flashes finished the weekend with a 12-under 852 score for their second tournament win of the season. Virginia Tech finished in second place at 862 (-2), while Maryland took third at 865 (+1).

McGinty sank seven birdies on Sunday on her way to a 5-under 67, finishing the tournament with a 10-under 206, the fifth-lowest 54-hole tournament score in program history.
