KENT, Ohio — The Kent State women's basketball team rewrote the record book with a 117-37 victory during the annual Education Day presented by Ohio 529 on Monday inside of the M.A.C. Center.

The Golden Flashes (5-6) beat the previous record of 78 points, which was set two seasons ago in a victory over La Roche, by shooting just under 60% from the field. Kent State made 46 of 77 shots and sank a season-best 11 three-pointers to finish with the third highest single-game scoring performance in program history.
