LEXINGTON, Ky. – Ohio Volleyball junior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-America, the AVCA announced on Wednesday (Dec. 18).
Jimerson is the first Bobcat to earn Honorable Mention All-America honors since 2014, when Abby Gilleland was named to the team. Jimerson is the seventh Bobcat to be named Honorable Mention All-America and Ohio has won the award 10 times. Only Gilleland and Ellen Herman have been on the All-America team twice at Ohio.
"We're obviously very happy for Tia to earn this award and represent our program in this way," head coach Deane Webb said.
