Junior Jackie Siefring (Covington, Ohio) registered the fifth-best score in the country in 2017 en route to winning the pentathlon with a five-event cumulative total of 4,204, to direct the efforts of the Zips' track and field teams on the opening night of the Akron Invitational on Friday, Feb. 3. Siefring captured the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.58 and then placed fourth in the high jump with a mark of 5-4.75. She finished second in the shot put (39-10.
