Cleveland, Ohio – The No. 4 seed NIU Huskies started strong and cruised to a 83-55 win over No. 8 seed Western Michigan in semifinal Mid-American Conference Women's Basketball Tournament action at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on Friday.
NIU jumped out to a 18-10 first quarter lead and opened a 44-28 lead at the half. The Huskies were led by sophomore guard Courtney Woods with 19 points and senior guard Ally Lehman with 17 points, while forward Kelly Smith added 15 points.
