We open today with Jarvion Franklin. The junior running back from Illinois is an interesting story. He’s a former MAC Freshman and Player of the Year recipient - the first to ever do so - and currently sits second on the depth chart. When Jamauri Bogan went down with injury Saturday, Franklin proved he can still bring it, and that the 1,500 yard rusher from a few years ago hasn’t gone anywhere. He’s just in a different role. Having players like Franklin sure makes the next man up philosophy a bit easier to follow.
