No. 1 Kent State 6, No. 8 Toledo 3 Kent State grabbed an early lead in the bottom of the first inning scoring three runs headlined by a Pete Schuler RBI double that brought in Dylan Rosa and Luke Burch to make it 3-0. Each team put zeros on the board until the fifth inning when Dylan Rosa sent a solo home run to left field, his second of the tournament, to bolster the Kent State lead to 4-0 after five.
