Redshirt senior Alsu Bogdanova (Kazan, Russia-Lyceum #83) set a new indoor personal record in the 5000m, Friday, Dec. 1, at the GVSU Holiday Open. The All-American notched a time of 16:16.81 to take first place in the event, besting her previous indoor record by almost four seconds. Additionally, the time she posted ranks third all-time in the program’s indoor 5000m record book.
