We’re five days out from the 2016 general election to choose not only the next President of the United States, but also various state and federal legislators and amendments. Eastern Michigan University wants to remind you about your right to vote in a (shall we say) rather unique way.
EMU Athletics announced via press release that the football team will wear special “Election Night” helmets for their nationally-televised game on Nov. 8 against Ball State to begin at 7 p.m. EST. CBS Sports Network will broadcast the game.
“In the political world, the night will be about red and blue states, but on the field the Eagles will do their best to honor the election of the United States of America's 45th President,” the release said.
