SILVER LAKE, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – After trailing by three strokes headed into Tuesday's third round of the MAC Fall Preview at Silver Lake Country Club, the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team rallied to win its second consecutive tournament this season with a score of 942 (316-314-312). Last week, the Eagles took home the title at the Shirley Spork Invitational, Sept. 20-Oct. 1, at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
The back-to-back tournament victories are the first for an EMU squad since the 2007-08 season. That year, EMU won the Legends Shootout, Oct. 8-9, and followed it up with a victory at the Red Rocks Invitational, March 7-9.
