EMU Defeats Duquesne for Fourth Straight Win

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Sisi Eleko banked in the game-winning layup with 12 seconds remaining as the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team captured its fourth consecutive win, besting Duquesne University, 74-72, inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Ainhoa Cea (Irun, Spain/IES Pio Baroja Bhi/Lipscomb) jumped the passing lane on the ensuing Duquesne possession, cementing the Eagles' sixth win of the season.

Eastern used significant advantages in field goal percentage (54.2%-39.3%) and points in the paint (40-22) to secure the victory, as it was led by Eleko (Montreal,Quebec/New Hope Academy), who recorded her sixth double-double of the season with game highs of 23 points and 11 rebounds.
