After beating the Broncos by a score of 93-67 in Kalamazoo, the Eagles continued up US-127 to face the Chippewas in Mt. Pleasant last night. The Chippewas almost 93% free throw shooting (among other things) proved to be too much for the Eagles to handle as they fall 86-82 against their other intrastate rivals.
The Chippewas were led in scoring by David DiLeo with 20 points. Kevin McKay posted a double-double after getting 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Chippewas had 44.6% shooting from the field but were 92.9% from the free throw line.
