Eastern Michigan Claims Third Straight Men's Swimming & Diving Championship

Eastern Michigan captured their third staright Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Championship Saturday night.

The Eagles compiled 717 total points throughout the four-day event. Missouri State finished second compiling 716 points and Buffalo was third with 661.5 points. Miami (518.5), Southern Illinois (489), Ball State(147), and Evansville (146) rounded out the event.

Missouri State’s Antonio Thomas started off the evening by claiming the 1650 freestyle title in a championship, meet, conference and pool of 14:56.02. Eastern Michigan’s Kyle Lichtenberg placed second in the event for the second consecutive year with a time of 15:12.
