Day Two Complete at Outdoor Track & Field Championships

TOLEDO, Ohio - With a total of 15 events completed between the men's and women's programs at the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Eastern Michigan and Akron hold the top spot on the leaderboards, respectively.

The morning began with the 10,000m run, which was cancelled Thursday due to lightning. Eastern Michigan swept the top spot on both podiums. Sophomore Jordann McDermmitt picked up the women's title with a time of 34:39.35 and sophomore Nick Raymond took the men's in 29:41.07.

Akron’s Jackie Siefring maintained her lead in the women’s heptathlon through the final thre events to claim the crown with 5412 points.
