Chippewas Top Arizona For Third Straight

TUSCON, Ariz. – Zavier Warren singled in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning and nine Central Michigan pitchers combined on a five-hitter on Wednesday as the Chippewas topped Arizona, 4-2, in a nonconference baseball game at the Wildcats' Hi Corbett Field.

It was the Chippewas' third-consecutive win as they improved to 6-2. It was the first meeting between CMU and Arizona.

Warren's single scored Zach Heeke from second to put the Chippewas up, 3-2. Heeke led off the 10th with a walk and then advanced to second on a wild pitch.
