New York, N.Y. (October 12, 2016) - The John Mackey Award has released the 2016 John Mackey Award Midseason Watch List, as Central Michigan's Tyler Conklin and Eastern Michigan's Nigel Kilby have been added to this list. Given annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end, the award recipient is selected by vote of the John Mackey Award Selection Committee.
Conklin, a junior from Chesterfield Township, Mich., earned the John Mackey Award weekly award for his performance in the Chippewas' 30-27 upset at No. 22-ranked Oklahoma State on Sept. 10. Conklin made seven catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
