According to this story by the ESPN, coach Whitford is leaving Ball State for the semi greener pastures at Duquesne.
Per this tweet from FanRag Sports, quoting CBS’ Jon Rothstein, the deal isn’t quite done.
While it’s not surprising that coach Whitford would be receiving offers, and might even take one, it’s quite surprising that it would be Duquesne.
After winning 12 games total his first two seasons, he has won 21 in each of his last two. While losing a great player in Franko House, he has three super sophomores in Trey Moses, Taylor Persons, and Tahjai Teague.
