Bye and Moutinho Honored As First Team All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 7, 2017) – United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the association’s 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s All-America Teams.

Among the 37 All-Americans are seven student-athletes whose teams will participate in the College Cup semifinals on Friday.

Western Michigan forward and MAC Player of the Year Brandon Bye, along with Akron defender and MAC Freshman of the Year Joao Moutinho are both highlighted in the First Team. Bye put together a very impressive 2017 season, scoring a conference best 12 goals and contributing 7 assists to a Western Michigan squad that that won a program record 17 games this season.
