BUFFALO, NY – Fresh off the football program's first ever bowl game victory, head coach Lance Leipold has agreed to a new five-year contract with the University at Buffalo, Director of Athletics Mark Alnutt announced on Friday. Leipold's new contract runs through the 2024 season.
"I'd like to first thank President Satish Tripathi and Mark Alnutt for this extension for our staff," Leipold said. "We greatly appreciate the continued support of our administration in our pursuit of MAC championships and bowl appearances."
Since arriving at UB prior to the 2015 season, Leipold has built the Bulls into a consistent winner, including three straight years of bowl eligibility.
