The sold-out crowd at Alumni Arena witnessed a record-setting night, and just about as lopsided of a basketball game as possible.
Situated at #25 in Monday’s AP Poll, Buffalo exploded for a program-high 114 points in its home gym, knocking off Ohio by 47 points in a lopsided 114-67 victory. At its peak, the separation between the two MAC programs was 49 points, a margin which existed as late as 29 seconds remaining in the contest.
Buffalo, leading 52-27 at halftime, continued to obliterate Ohio offensively in the second half. The Bulls’ foot remained on the gas pedal until the final buzzer resonated, finishing the night shooting 56.
