Bowling Green State University women's soccer standout Chelsee Washington helped set the standard for the Falcon program, on and off the pitch, during her four seasons. On Thursday (Jan. 16), Washington set yet another BGSU women's soccer standard.
Washington became the first player in program history to be selected in the National Women's Soccer League draft. She was chosen by the Orlando Pride as the third pick in the fourth round (the 30th overall selection) of the draft.
"I am extremely humbled and blessed for this opportunity to fulfill my dreams as a professional soccer player with the Orlando Pride," said Washington.
