Bowling Green's Joe Davidson Named To 2016 Ray Guy Award Watch List

Augusta, GA (July 7, 2016) - The Augusta Sports Council has announced the pre-season watch list for the 2016 Ray Guy Award, which honors the nation’s top collegiate punter. Bowling Green junior punter Joseph Davidson was included on this list.

A native of Findlay, Ohio, Davidson last season punted 54 times for 2,483 yards (46.0 avg.), including a long of 73 yards and 16 punts inside the 20-yard line. Davidson was named first team All-MAC a year ago after averaging 46.0 yards per punt attempt, which ranked first in the MAC. Davidson had a season-long 73-yard punt in the GoDaddy Bowl against Georgia Southern and was twice named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week.
