I know that fans of MACtion shouldn’t be picky when it comes to post-season opportunities. A MAC team playing in late December or January should be a grateful team, but playing one of the most high octane offenses in the FBS and one of the hottest teams in football on their home field is less than an ideal situation. Such is the case for Terry Bowden and the Akron Zips tonight as they take on the Florida Atlantic Owls in the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl.
The key for this comes down to Akron’s offense and whether or not the Zips will move the ball against a speedy FAU defensive unit.
