AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron swimming and diving team earned a 200-102 victory over Toledo in Mid-American Conference action on Thursday evening at Ocasek Natatorium.
In the victory, Akron notched 11 first-place finishes.
The Zips got off to a strong start in the 800 free, as each of Akron's swimmers placed in the top three. Leading the way was freshman Andrea Galisteo (Madrid, Spain), who touched the wall at 9:01.18. Close behind was junior Brooke Lamoureux (Victoria, Canada) who finished with a time of 9:04.
