EVANSTON, ILL. - The Ball State field hockey team (2-5) dropped a 2-0 decision to No. 13 Northwestern (6-2) Monday night at Lakeside Field. The game against the Wildcats marked the second nationally ranked team the Cardinals have faced this season and the third member of the Big Ten Conference.
Despite the loss, the Cardinals defense continues to get stronger, holding Northwestern scoreless for the first 15 minutes of action.
