Eastern Michigan was looking to rebound after its loss to the Akron Zips and Ball State was looking to recover from their loss against Bowling Green. Both teams were pretty evenly matched coming into this. It was setting up to be a good game.
For whatever reason, Eastern Michigan started flat and they never seemed to recover from that. Ball State seemed to be on fire for most of the night. At the points where they went cold, they had a sizeable enough lead to overcome that. Hopefully Eastern Michigan will recover when they travel to Miami.
