Akron linebacker Jatavis Brown selected by San Diego in the 5th round, 175th overall, in the 2016 NFL Draft
Akron Zips linebacker Jatavis Brown was the 175th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon by the San Diego Chargers. Brown, who was the 2015 MAC Defensive Player of the Year, played in all 12 games this past year and led the Zips to the teams first year of bowl eligibility since 2005 with a 8-5 overall record.
