BOWLING GREEN, OHIO -- Akron has claimed the 2016 Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming & Diving title here at Cooper Pool on the campus of Bowling Green State University. The win marks the third straight title for the Zips.
Akron compiled 773.50 total points throughout the four-day event. Eastern Michigan finished second after collecting 592 points and Bowling Green was third with 478 points.
Buffalo's Jess Powers picked up her second title of the 2016 Championships by posting a time of 16:24.91 to win the 1650 Freestyle. The win marked the third straight year that Powers has won the event.
