Akron Leads After Day Two Of The Women's Swimming & Diving Championships

BOWLING GREEN, OHIO -- University of Akron leads the 2016 Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships after Day Two of competition. The Zips have earned 315.50 points, followed by Buffalo with 198 points and Eastern Michigan with 197.50 points.

Buffalo Senior Jess Powers led off the night with a win in the 500 Freestyle, clocking in with a season-best time of 4:47.63. It's the third consecutive year she has won the event.

In the second championship event of the night, Akron Freshman Madison Myers took home her first collegiate 200 IM title.
