Akron Defeats Louisville on Penalties, Advances to Final Four

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Akron Zips men’s soccer team defeated fourth seeded Louisville to move on to the final four of the College Cup. After 120 minutes of play, both teams remained scoreless and the game would be decided via penalty kicks. Niko De Vera delivered the game-winning penalty for the Zips after beating the keeper to his left and lifting Akron to a 3-2 PK victory.
