BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - With five events complete at the 2018 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, the Akron Zips and Bowling Green Falcons sit on top of the leader board of the men’s and women’s standings, respectively.
The first individual title of the day went to Akron’s Jackie Siefring in the women’s long jump with a jump of 6.08 m (19’ 11.5'”). Kent State’s Cayla Carey finished second (6.05 m - 19' 10¼") and Central Michigan’s Nadia Williams took third (6.04 m - 19' 9¾").
Kent State freshman Jake Wickey became the men’s weight throw champion on his final attempt, throwing 20.
