Playing in his first game of the season following an injury, Derek Adams launched two of the 10 longest punts in FBS this season in Saturday’s Wagon Wheel rivalry game. Adams had a career-long 77-yard punt in the third quarter, tying for the third-longest punt in program history. Late in the fourth quarter with the score tied, he flipped the field with a 73-yard punt. Adams averaged 46.4 yards on eight punts, none of which were returned.
