On August 31st, the Ball State Cardinals will open their football season against in-state rival and Power 5 up and comer, the Indiana Hoosiers. On the surface, this may appear to those outside the program like just another neutral site payday game since it’s being played at the home of the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, but there’s a far greater measurement occurring than the zeros on the check.
