The Toledo Rockets (3-0) will waltz into Hard Rock Stadium to take on the #14 Miami Hurricanes (1-0) who have been off the last two weeks because of the inclement weather in Florida. The Rockets have been rolling, starting their season of with three straight wins. Their latest victory was in shootout with Tulsa 54-51. The Hurricanes hammered Bethune-Cookman 41-13 in their only game of 2017.
A Davey O’Brien Award candidate, Logan Woodside, has been phenomenal in 2017. Woodside has thrown for 1,004 yards, eight touchdowns and only one interception in Toledo’s three wins.
