While success on the field does not necessarily translate over into the recruiting trail, Ohio looks to be doing just that. The Bobcats are slated to take on Western Michigan in the MAC Championship game next Friday, however they received a pleasant surprise in the meantime. A commitment from 3-star athlete Willie Cherry.
Cherry chose the Bobcats over reported offers from Mississippi State, New Mexico State, and North Texas.
He currently attends Rider high school located in Wichita Falls, Texas. Despite playing quarterback in high school, it will be interesting to see what position Cherry winds up playing at the next level.
