The seventh seeded Akron Zips are heading to the Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston on a mission to advance in the NIT. The game will be played Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 7: 30 P.M. EST. The Zips earned themselves a ticket to the tournament after winning the regular season Mid-American Conference title.
