2017 NFL Draft: Taylor Moton drafted by Carolina Panthers

After Corey Davis generated headlines as a top-five pick on Thursday night, a second player from the 2013-16 Western Michigan offense was selected on Friday evening.

The Carolina Panthers snagged Taylor Moton with the 64th overall pick in the NFL Draft’s second round. Moton was the 4th offensive tackle selected thus far. He’s a big body, stays healthy, and has a lengthy career of reliable and consistent performance for the Broncos.

The 6-foot-5-inch, 319-pound lineman has experience at both right tackle and right guard, so the Panthers can position him wherever they see fit. Last year, the Panthers were an underwhelming squad with playoff hopes, and Moton joins a team with a dire need to protect franchise QB Cam Newton.
