CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Kent State Golden Flashes have been selected to be the 2017 Mid-American Conference Champions. Results of the poll were announced Tuesday by the conference office and were voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Golden Flashes' veteran roster features 11 letterwinners from last season's squad that posted an undefeated (6-0) record to capture the program's 8th Mid-American Conference regular season championship in the past 11 years and qualified for NCAA Regional competition for the 8th time in the past 9 years.
Central Michigan grabbed the number two spot in the preseason poll.
