The Kent State Golden Flashes have not had a winning season since 2012 and, even then, that’s the only time they’ve done it in the last eight years. It’s a tale as old as time for Flashes fans, really.
Kent State’s next stop in their attempt to end that streak is at Dix Stadium when they host FCS school Howard. Howard, a school out of Washington D.C. with an enrollment of just over 10,000, has not had a winning season since 2012 either. However, the Bison are coming off a 43-40 upset over the Mountain West’s UNLV despite being outnumbered in both passing and rushing yards; a matchup in which they were the underdogs by 45 points.
