CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2017 Gymnastics Academic All-MAC team Friday. A total of 57 student-athletes were honored with this award.
Eastern Michigan led the team having 10 gymnasts recognized while Central Michigan, Kent State and Western Michigan each had nine honored.
Bowling Green's Lauren Feely and Rachel Reis and WMU's Rachael Underwood recorded perfect 4.0 GPA's.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
